How to Adjust Coupon Discount Types and Values

Adjusting the discount type and value of your coupons is essential for creating targeted promotions that meet your marketing goals. Klip makes it easy to customize these settings so you can offer percentage discounts or fixed amount discounts.

1. Create or Edit a Coupon

Go to your Klip Dashboard.
If you want to create a new coupon, click “Add Coupon.”
If you already have an existing coupon, you can skip to Step 3 and start editing it by clicking on the coupon name.

2. Select Coupon Type

Choose the type of coupon you want to create or edit:

Product Discount – Apply a discount to specific products.
BOGO – Buy One, Get One offers.
Order Discount – Apply a discount to the entire order.
Shipping Discount – Available as a coupon type.

3. Set Up and Customize Your Coupon

Coupon Type: Choose between Percentage or Fixed Amount based on your promotional strategy.
Discount Value: Enter the value for your discount:

Percentage Discount: Enter a percentage number between 1 and 100%.
Fixed Amount Discount: Enter the amount to be deducted (e.g., 10 for $10 off).

4. Save Your Changes

Click Save to apply your changes. Your coupon will now reflect the updated discount type and value.

Use Percentage Discounts for Storewide Sales: Ideal for promotions across your store.

Utilize Fixed Amount Discounts for High-Value Items: Great for encouraging purchases of premium products or bundles.

Test Different Discount Types: Experiment with various types to see what drives the best results for your customers.
