How to Create a Buy One, Get One (BOGO) Discount
With Klip Coupons, you can now set up Buy One, Get One (BOGO) discounts directly from your dashboard. Whether you want to give away a free product or offer a percentage off on a second item, this guide walks you through the setup.
BOGO Discounts allow you to:
Reward customers when they buy a specific product or reach a purchase threshold
Offer flexible discount types (percentage, fixed amount, or free)
Apply to specific products, variants, collections, or tag.
Set start and end dates for time-sensitive promotions
To begin, go to the Klip Coupons dashboard and either create a new coupon or edit an existing one.
Set your Coupon Name – Note: Customers will see this in their cart and at checkout when the coupon is clipped.*

Under Coupon Type, select Buy X Get Y.
This is the BOGO setup that lets you define what a customer must buy, and what they’ll receive.

You can define what customers must do to qualify for the discount:
Minimum quantity of items – e.g., buy at least 2 items
Minimum purchase amount – e.g., spend $50 or more
Choose one or both depending on how your promo works.

In the Applies To section, you can pick what triggers the BOGO deal:
All Products
Specific Products
Product Variants
Collections (e.g., Summer Sale)
Tags (e.g., “new-arrivals”)

Under “Customer Gets,” you’ll choose:
The Quantity of the discounted product (e.g., 1 free item)
The Discounted Product (this is what the customer receives)
If you set the minimum quantity to 2, customers need to buy at least two items to get the BOGO (Buy One, Get One) deal.

Now, under Discount Value, select how the customer is rewarded:
Percentage – e.g., 50% off the discounted product
Free product – gives the discounted item for free
Fixed amount – e.g., $10 off the discounted item

💡 Tip: Use the "Free product" option for classic BOGO promotions like "Buy One, Get One Free."
Want your BOGO promo to run for a limited time? You can set a Start Date and End Date to automate the promotion.

Once everything is set up correctly, the BOGO (Buy One, Get One) discount will automatically appear on both the product page and the cart page, making it easy for customers to see the promotion in action.

Test before going live – Always try the coupon in your store to make sure it behaves the way you expect.
