How to Enable Customer and Order Tagging in Klip

Merchants now have the ability to tag orders and customers associated with Klip coupon usage—making it easier than ever to organize, segment, and manage your data.

How Tagging Works

With Klip’s new tagging feature, you can automatically apply custom tags to:

  1. Customers who use a Klip coupon
  2. Orders where a Klip coupon is applied
  3. Both the customer and their associated order

These tags can be anything you choose and are fully customizable to fit your workflow.

Tagging Options

When setting up Klip coupons, you’ll be able to choose from the following tagging options:

1. Customer Only

Automatically tag customers who use a Klip coupon with one or more tags of your choice.

Example: Tag customers as klip-user, first-time-klip, or any custom label that fits your segmentation strategy.

2. Order Only

Apply your selected tag(s) only to the orders where a Klip coupon was used.

Example: Tag orders as klip-discount, promo-applied, or any label useful for tracking promotions.

3. Both Customer and Order

Want full visibility? Choose this option to tag both the customer and their corresponding order.

Example: Use tags like spring-sale, VIP-klip, or klip-bundle to track both customer profiles and order trends.

How to Enable Coupon Tags:

  1. Go to the Klip Dashboard
  2. Select or Create a coupon you want to edit

  1. Under Coupon Info, scroll down until you see the Coupon Tags section

Don't forget to click on the Add button after entering a tag

Notes:

You can add multiple tags for any of the above options.

Tags are applied automatically once the coupon is used.

This feature helps with filtering, reporting, and customizing your marketing or fulfillment workflows.
