How to Set a Countdown Timer for a Specific Date Range
A Specific Date Range countdown timer automatically follows your coupon’s start and end dates. This is ideal for one-time promotions, seasonal sales, or limited-time campaigns where the timer should expire when the coupon ends, without restarting or recurring.
1. Create or Edit a Coupon
Go to your Klip Dashboard.
Either create a new coupon or click on a coupon name to edit an existing one.
2. Set the Coupon Start and End Dates
In the coupon settings, find the Start Date and End Date fields.
Set the exact dates and times when your coupon should be active.

3. Enable the Specific Date Range Countdown Timer
Scroll down to the Coupon Design section.
Open the Countdown Timer settings.
Select Specific Date Range.

Once enabled, the countdown timer will:
- Start automatically when the coupon becomes active
- Count down to the coupon’s end date
- Expire and disappear when the coupon ends
4. Save and Preview
Click Save at the top right corner of the Klip Dashboard.
Preview the timer on your store to make sure it displays correctly.

Tips:
Combine with other marketing – Announce the start and end dates in emails or social posts to reinforce the countdown.Promote urgency – Use copy like “Ends in” or “Limited time offer” alongside the timer to encourage customer action.Updated on: 14/12/2025
