How to Set Up Order Discounts

We’re excited to introduce our new Order Discount feature! With this update, you can apply an order-wide discount when eligible products are in the cart. Plus, you can set a maximum discount value to control the highest possible discount amount.

What can you do with Order Discounts?

Order Discounts allow you to:

Apply a discount across an entire order based on selected criteria.
Set a maximum order discount value, ensuring discounts don’t exceed a certain limit.
Apply discounts to specific products, collections, or product tags.
Exclude certain products from the discount if needed.
Limit the total number of times the coupon can be redeemed before it expires.

1. Creating an Order Discount

Create a coupon and set the Coupon Type to 'Order Discount'.

2. Apply the Coupon discount to Specific Products, Collections, or Tags

You have the flexibility to apply the discount to:

All products in your store
Specific products you select
Collections (e.g., holiday sales, clearance items)
Specific tags (e.g., ‘new arrivals’ or ‘best sellers’)

3. Excluding Products from the Discount (Optional)

Not every product needs to be discounted! You can exclude specific items from receiving the discount, ensuring it only applies where you want it to.

4. Setting a Maximum Order Discount Value (Optional)

If you want to prevent the discount from exceeding a certain amount, you can set a maximum order discount value. This ensures that, regardless of the cart total, the discount will not exceed the limit you set.

5. Setting it to Combine with other Order Discounts (Optional)

If you want your coupon to combine with other order discounts from Klip, enable the 'Combine discount with other order discounts' settings.

Enabling this setting can lead to excessive discounts. Please make sure to double check your settings.

To create urgency or control the number of redemptions, you can set a limit on how many times a coupon can be used before it expires. Learn more.
