# How to Show Purchase Requirement Alerts on the Cart Page for Minimum Spend or Quantity Coupons

|| The Purchase Requirement Alert on the Cart Page helps customers see how close they are to qualifying for a discount. When paired with a coupon that includes a Minimum Spend or Minimum Quantity requirement, this feature helps increase average cart value and reduce confusion at checkout.

### What Is the Purchase Requirement Alert?
The Purchase Requirement Alert appears automatically on the Cart Page when a coupon includes a Minimum Spend or Minimum Quantity condition. It displays a message showing how much more is needed to qualify, or confirms when the requirement is met.

Merchants who want to provide an even clearer experience for customers can enable the **Purchase Requirement Progress Bar**, which visually shows how close shoppers are to meeting the requirement in real time. This optional feature helps encourage larger cart sizes and makes the discount more engaging.

### How to Enable the Cart Page Alert
To show the alert on the cart page:
1. Go to **Settings**
2. Click on **Cart Page**
3. Enable **Show Purchase Requirement Alert on Cart Page**
