Volume Discounts allow you to create quantity-based discount offers for your products. Customers receive different discounts depending on how many items they purchase, helping encourage larger orders and increase average order value.

For example:

• Buy 1 item → Regular price
• Buy 2 items → 10% off
• Buy 3 items → 20% off

What can you do with Volume Discounts?

Volume Discounts let you create quantity-based offers that encourage customers to buy more. You can offer percentage or fixed discounts, apply them to specific products or collections, add free gifts to tiers, and customize how each tier appears to customers.

1. Create a New Coupon

From your Klip Coupons Dashboard, go to Coupons and click Add coupon to create a new discount.

2. Choose the Coupon Type: “Volume Discount”

Under Coupon Type, select Volume Discount.

This option allows you to create multiple quantity-based discount tiers for your products.

3. Set Your Coupon Title

Enter a Coupon title to identify your discount campaign.

Examples:

• Buy More Save More
• Summer Bundle Sale
• Bulk Purchase Discount

4. Choose the Discount Value Type

Select how the discount should be calculated for your volume offer.

Percentage (%) off each item

Applies a percentage discount to each eligible item in the tier.

Example:

Buy 3 items → 20% off each item

Fixed amount ($) off each item

Subtracts a fixed amount from each eligible item in the tier.

Example:

Buy 2 items → $5 off each item

Fixed amount ($) off total

Applies a fixed discount to the total order amount for the tier.

Example:

Buy 4 items → $20 off the total order

5. Configure Quantity Tiers

By default, you’ll see Tier #1 with:

• Quantity
• Discount value
• More settings

You can create multiple tiers to reward higher quantity purchases with better discounts.

Example:

• Buy 1 → 10% off
• Buy 3 → 15% off
• Buy 5 → 25% off

You can also:

• Duplicate tiers
• Delete tiers
• Set a tier as Selected by default
• Add more tiers using + Add new tier

6. Customize Each Tier

Click More settings inside a tier to customize how it appears to customers.

Title & Subtitle

Customize the title and subtitle to clearly present each discount tier and communicate the offer.

Labels

Add a label beside the tier title (e.g. Best Value, Popular, Limited Offer) to highlight important deals and guide customer choice.

Image

Enable this option to display the product image inside the tier, making the offer more visual and engaging.

Highlight Badge

Add a highlight badge to emphasize a recommended tier.

Example:

Recommended 🔥

Free Gift

Add a free gift to any tier to increase value and encourage higher quantity purchases.

When enabled, you can:

• Select the free gift product
• Configure how it appears within the tier

7. Choose Applied Products

Under Applied products, choose where the volume discount should apply.

You can apply the discount to:

• Specific products
• Product variants
• Collections
• Specific tags
• All products

(Optional) Set a Schedule

Want your Volume Discount to run for a limited time? You can set a Start Date and End Date to automatically control when the promotion becomes active.

8. Save Your Changes

Once you're satisfied with your Volume Discount settings, click Save to apply the changes.

Your Volume Discount will now appear on your store based on the products and tiers you configured.

How to Edit Your Volume Discount Design

You can customize the appearance of your Volume Discount widget to better match your store branding and improve how offers are displayed to customers.

To begin, open your Volume Discount coupon and select Coupon Design.

Coupon Theme

Under Coupon theme, you can customize the overall color theme of your Volume Discount widget.

This helps the widget blend seamlessly with your store branding.

Coupon Container

Under Coupon container, you can choose how your discount tiers are displayed.

Available layouts:

• Vertical stacked
• Comparison table

You can also customize the main widget title, font size, and text styling.

Example:

Buy More, Save More!

Vertical Stacked Layout

If you select Vertical stacked, you’ll be able to customize the appearance of each tier card.

This includes:

• Tier backgrounds
• Selected tier highlights
• Border colors and sizes
• Border radius
• Padding

These settings help create a more visual and engaging layout.

Comparison Table Layout

If you choose Comparison table, you can customize the appearance of the table layout.

This includes:

• Background color
• Cell padding
• Border styling
• Border radius

This layout works best for displaying multiple discount tiers in a structured comparison format.

Coupon Text

Under Coupon text, you can customize the styling of:

• Titles
• Prices
• Subtitles
• Compare-at prices

You can also enable Show unit price to display the unit price instead of the total price.

Image Settings

Under Image, you can customize how product images appear inside your discount tiers.

This includes:

• Image size
• Border styling
• Border radius

Label Settings

Under Label, you can customize labels used to highlight promotions or savings.

Examples:

• Best Value
• Save 20%
• Popular

You can customize:

• Text color
• Font size
• Background color
• Border styling
• Padding

Highlight Badge Settings

Under Highlight badge, you can customize badges used to emphasize recommended tiers.

Save Your Design Changes

Once you're satisfied with your design customization, click Save to apply the changes.

Your updated Volume Discount design will now appear on your store.
