Setting Minimum Spend and Minimum Quantity Conditions for Coupons
Minimum spend and minimum quantity conditions help you control coupon usage, ensuring customers meet certain criteria before redeeming a discount. This is particularly useful for upselling or encouraging larger purchases.
Follow the steps below to set up these conditions:
1. Create or Edit a Coupon
- Go to your Klip Dashboard.
- Create a new coupon or click on an existing coupon to modify it.
2. Navigate to the Eligibility Section
- Under the Eligibility & Target section, scroll down to the Eligibility settings.

3. Enable Minimum Spend Conditions
- Toggle on Minimum spend conditions to set the requirements for the coupon to be applied.

4. Choose Between Minimum Quantity or Minimum Amount
- Minimum Quantity of Items Required: Set the minimum number of items in the cart for the coupon to apply, encouraging customers to purchase more.
- Minimum Amount Required: Set the minimum cart value needed for coupon eligibility, helping boost average order value.

5. Choose which products count towards the Minimum Purchase Requirements
- Selected Products: Only the products that the coupon is applied to will count towards the Minimum Purchase Requirement.
- Entire Cart: All products in the cart will count towards the Minimum Purchase Requirement.

6. Specify the Condition Value
- Enter the required number of items or minimum cart amount based on your selection.
- Ensure the value aligns with your promotion goals, such as increasing cart size or offering discounts for higher-value purchases.

7. Customize the Purchase Requirement Alert
The Purchase Requirement Alert lets you display a message when a minimum purchase amount or quantity is needed to redeem a coupon. It includes both alert text and a visual progress bar.
Alert Options:
- Show Purchase Requirement Alert on Product Page: Enable to display the message to customers.
- Message Text: Customize what appears in the alert.
Progress Text:
- Example: “At least {{quantity}} items must be in cart for the discount.”
- Shortcodes available:
quantity,discount-amount - Customize font size and text style.
Success Text:
- Example: “Congratulations! You've unlocked a {{discount-amount}} discount on this product!”
- Shortcodes available:
quantity,discount-amount - Customize font size and text style.

Progress Bar:
- Show Progress Bar: Enable a visual indicator to show remaining minimum purchase requirements.
- Background Color: Set the background color of the progress bar container.
- Progress Bar Fill Color: Choose the color for the filled portion.
- Container Settings: Adjust padding, border radius, background color, and border style to match your store’s branding.

Optional: You can also display the Purchase Requirement Alert on the cart page. To enable it:
- Go to Settings in your Klip Dashboard.
- Enable either one of the Cart Page Coupons options.
- Select Show Purchase Requirement Alert.

8. Save the Coupon Settings
- Click Save to apply the changes. The coupon will now only be valid if the conditions are met.
9. Verify the Conditions
- Test the coupon by adding products to the cart to check if the discount applies correctly.
- Ensure the coupon does not apply when conditions are unmet to prevent misuse.
